Conchoecia kyrtophora Müller et C. nasotuberculata Müller ont été confundues en raison d'une erreur dans la description originale. Les deux espèces sont redécrites et l'allure de leur distribution verticale est donnée en trois stations de la "Discovery", de l'équateur à 18°N, dans l'Atlantique oriental.
