Chapter Summary

This chapter presents a description of the author's love for eating eggs. It describes his likeness for eggs which started from his school days where the thinly shredded omelette was part of the standard menu in his lunch box. Later in his life, the thick over-sized Japanese omelette on sushi rice was an item he loved eating at the sushi bar. But on doctor's advice, his wife restricts the number of eggs he can eat to only one per day. He realizes that the day will never come when he can stuff thinly shredded omelette, regular omelettes, thick Japanese omelettes, and raw eggs on steaming rice all piled high in a plate.
