Chapter Summary

The author's bar named as Ashibi was near the Tsurumi station. The bar usually opened at 7 pm. The author's schoolmate S, whom she loved, joined Company K's, main division at their Tokyo headquarters. Time passed without her thinking about him. She met him at their high school class reunion party in their sixtieth year and was surprised to know that he was transferred to the Tsurumi branch office which was very close to her bar. He seemed to be aged and looked very calm. He was very good at Golf and was a gentleman. In an unexpected event for the author he came to the bar with his colleagues after retirement. They sang the karaoke duet, 'I won't let you go tonight', and they danced. He thanked his boss who introduced him to Ashibi. This incident took place a year before he died due to stomach cancer.
