Chapter Summary

The author's husband thought about living abroad for a period of time and went to Malaysia to apply for his visa. She used all twenty-four hours for herself when her husband left for Malaysia. She did things such as eating meals while watching her favourite TV shows. She came home anytime she liked. It was all up to her to go to places like the cinema, kabuki or museums. She was perfectly free except for the 'homework' that sprang up without expectation in front of her. Her husband planned to start his long-term stay abroad. She wanted her anchor to remain in Japan and that she wanted to stay there. The author's husband did not imagine this outcome, and for the first time since they got married she said 'No' to him. She was secretly looking forward to living alone.
