Chapter Summary

This index presents a list of ancient sources such as Hebrew Bible, Pseudepigrapha, Mishnah, Talmud, New Testament and others that have been cited in the book The New Damascus Document: The Midrash on the Eschatological Torah of the Dead Sea Scrolls: Reconstruction, Translation and Commentary. The book consists of three parts: (1) a composite edition of the twelve ancient and medieval manuscripts with notes; (2) a new translation of the Hebrew text; and (3) a commentary upon the composite text. The book examines 12 ancient and medieval manuscripts, ten from the caves at Qumran and the two so-called Damascus Documents from the Cairo Geniza, presenting a new organization and understanding of these texts.

Keywords: Damascus; Dead Sea Scrolls; eschatological Torah; Hebrew Bible; Midrash
