Chapter Summary

This section contains a list of contributors for the book Reflection and Refraction: Studies in Biblical Historiography in Honour of A. Graeme Auld. For most of his academic life, Graeme has been concerned with the study of the law or Pentateuch, especially but not exclusively with its fifth book and the theory proposed by Martin Noth of a Deuteronomistic History that extends from Deuteronomy to 2 Kings. Over the years, Graeme has come to question the validity of this theory and has advanced an alternative model of a 'shared text' or 'the Book of Two Houses' to account for the overlapping material found in Samuel-Kings and Chronicles.

Keywords: A. Graeme Auld; biblical historiography; Deuteronomistic History; Martin Noth; Samuel-Kings
