Performers shall also have the possibility of preventing the following acts when undertaken without their authorization. Producers of phonograms shall enjoy the right to authorize or prohibit the direct or indirect reproduction of their phonograms. Broadcasting organizations shall have the right to prohibit the following acts when undertaken without their authorization. For performers and producers of phonograms the principle of national treatment applies only to a limited extent and covers only the rights provided by the Trade-Related Aspects of Intellectual Property Rights (TRIPS). Special types of performance listed under Art. 3 lit. a RC include acting, singing, delivering, declaiming and playing. The protection of performers depends on the quality of the work performed.
