Chapter Summary

This bibliography contains a list of reference articles and books that are mentioned in the book titled Critical Companion to Contemporary Marxism. Periodically proclaimed to be dead, or on its way back, Marxism and, more generally, references to Marx are an integral part of contemporary culture. Marxism is demonstrating its persistence, its productivity and its capacity to adapt to contexts and conjunctures. The notion of neo-Marxism is opposed to that of some quintessential Marxism, inscribed in the empyrean of ideas. The 'crisis of Marxism' has released a variety of more or less fleeting currents, schools, groups and unique individual trajectories, translated into shifting reclassification in the theoretical field.
