This appendix presents texts and excerpts of multilateral conventions and other instruments on extradition adopted by the United Nations. The multilateral conventions and other instruments include: Convention against Illicit Traffic in Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances; International Convention against the Recruitment, Use, Financing and Training of Mercenaries; Model Treaty on Extradition; Declaration on the Protection of All Persons from Enforced Disappearance; Convention on the Safety of United Nations and Associated Personnel; United Nations Convention against Transnational Organized Crime (New York, 15 November 2000); and UN Security Council Resolution 1373 (2001). The United Nations proclaimed the Declaration on the Protection of All Persons from Enforced Disappearance on December 18, 1992, as a body of principles for all States and urged that all efforts be made so that the Declaration becomes generally known and respected.
