Chapter Summary

This front matter section of the book A Theory of International Terrorism: Understanding Islamic Militancy presents the table of contents, and preface. The book argues that the policy of no negotiations with Muslim militants is contrary to the UN Charter and also presents the phenomenon of the terror triangle, highlighting the nation-state's structural pathology that engenders violence both for its creation and preservation. It discusses the changing ontology of Islamic terrorism that is how terrorism experts understand, analyze and explain Islamic terrorism to the world. Finally it offers two sets of solutions to minimize and possibly eradicate triangular terrorism.
