Chapter Summary

This chapter presents excerpts from the Treaty Establishing the Economic Community of Central African States. Nationals of Member States shall have freedom of movement within the Community provided that they hold a national identity card, a valid passport or a laissez-passer and an international health carnet. Citizens of Member States traveling as tourists must prove that they can support themselves and will not take up a job during their stay. They must also furnish proof of right of abode. Subject to existing regulations in each Member State, tourists may move around and stay in a territory of a host Member State for a period not exceeding three months.
