Chapter Summary

This chapter deals with the International Convention on the Protection of the Rights of All Migrant Workers and Members of their Families, 1990. The Convention is applicable, except as otherwise provided, to all migrant workers and members of their families without distinction of any kind such as sex, race, colour, language, religion or conviction, political or other opinion, national, ethnic or social origin, nationality, age, economic position, property, marital status, birth or other status.. Any State Party may denounce the present Convention, not earlier than five years after the Convention has entered into force for the State concerned, by means of a notification in writing addressed to the Secretary-General of the United Nations.
