The section of the Rules lays down the procedure in contentious cases before the Seabed Disputes Chamber. The procedure in advisory proceedings is dealt with in another section. The general rule laid down in article 115 is that proceedings in contentious cases before the Chamber and its ad hoc chambers shall be governed by the Rules applicable in contentious cases before the Tribunal. This general rule is subject to the application of provisions of the Convention or the Rules relating specifically to the Chamber or its ad hoc chambers.
