This index presents a list of terms and concepts relevant to the examination of the questions concerning human rights and international humanitarian law and the analysis of the international law of spaces, including matters regarding the law of the sea, international waterways, Antarctica, and boundary and territorial issues. In 2004, the Pontifical Council for Justice and Peace published a Compendium of the Social Doctrine of the Church. The Compendium deals at length and in several chapters with issues concerning family, work and other economic questions, politics and democracy - all matters highly relevant to the Church's doctrine on human rights.
