Chapter Summary

This index presents a list of ancient author names and terms that are mentioned in the book Russia between East and West: Scholarly Debates on Eurasianism. In 2002, under Vladimir Putin, two Eurasian parties were launched. In the process of its political/ideological development, Eurasianism changed and diversified. At the same time all representatives of the movement shared a common ideological base. All of them assumed that Russia-Eurasia is a separate civilizational unit, different from both Asia and Europe. In some of the Eurasianists’ doctrines, Eurasia included Europe and a good part of Asia proper.

Keywords: Eurasianists’ doctrines; Vladimir Putin
