Chapter Summary

The third contentious case to come before the Permanent Court of International Justice was the case concerning the Interpretation of Paragraph 4 of the Annex following Article 179 of the Treaty of Neuilly, between Bulgaria and Greece. On 15 October 1949 Colombia filed an application instituting proceedings against Peru in accordance with the Act of Lima in the Asylum case. The Land and Maritime Boundary between Cameroon and Nigeria case occupied the Court from 29 March 1994 when Cameroon filed its initial application instituting the proceedings, to 10 October 2002 when the Court rendered its final judgment on the merits of the case.
