This bibliography contains a list of reference articles and books that are mentioned in the book Gender, Social Change and Spiritual Power: Charismatic Christianity in Ghana. Charismatic Christianity is a global phenomenon. Since the late 1970s it has spread from the United States to many parts of Africa, Asia and Latin America. It is the most recent and fastest growing expression of Pentecostal religion in Sub-Saharan Africa. In Ghana, the new" charismatic churches dominate the religious scene, especially in urban centres such as Accra, the capital. Ghanaian gender politics are characterised by the concept of gender complementarity", which is reproduced in the discourses of the charismatic churches.
