This appendix-II of the book Islamic Piety in Medieval Syria Mosques, Cemeteries and Sermons under the Zangids and Ayyūbids (1146-1260) includes dynastic tables and maps. It contains three maps depicting: The Ayyūbid State in 583/1187 and 589/1193, Settlements of Bilād al-Shām in the thirteenth century, and Damascus and its surroundings in the thirteenth century. The book is a study of a past Middle Eastern society, that of Bilād al-Shām, present-day Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, Israel and the West Bank, in the Zangid and Ayyūbid period.
