Chapter Summary

This section presents a list of works that have been cited for the book Framing Iberia: Maqāmāt and Frametale Narratives in Medieval Spain. The book is the story of how medieval Iberians tell stories in writing. It is a story as yet untold, except in more narrowly focused studies of short narrative in Catalan, Castilian, Hebrew, Arabic, and Latin. The authors studied in the book engage in their literary practice from a different perspective, according to the changing political, social, linguistic, religious, and literary circumstances of medieval Iberian life, but all of these circumstances converge at one point or another.

Keywords: frametale narratives; Maqāmāt; medieval Iberian tradition
