Chapter Summary

This chapter is a part of the 119 works from the corpus of the Latin dialogues of the Middle Ages presented in this book Lateinische Dialoge 1200-1400. It presents the title, incipit and explicit as well as information on author, date, textual transmission, editions and a summary of the contents. The chapter presents a conversation between man (homo) and the devil (demon) before a judge (Iudex). The text consists largely of quotations from ancient authors, and the statements of the authors are mainly used to connect them together. The original text of the chapter is in German.
