Chapter Summary

This chapter is a part of the 119 works from the corpus of the Latin dialogues of the Middle Ages presented in the book Lateinische Dialoge 1200 -1400. It presents the title, incipit and explicit as well as information on author, date, textual transmission, editions and a summary of the contents. The chapter presents information on the manuscript which presents the discussion on dialogue of the power of the supreme pontiff and dialogue about the power of Pope John. It is a tribute letter to John XXII. The author praises John XXII for his decisive action against the erroneous opinions of those who defend an absolute poverty as a life form and question the papal authority. The original text of the chapter is in German.
