Chapter Summary

This chapter is a part of the 119 works from the corpus of the Latin dialogues of the Middle Ages presented in this book Lateinische Dialoge 1200 -1400. It presents the title, incipit and explicit as well as information on author, date, textual transmission, editions and a summary of the contents. The chapter presents information on the manuscript which presents the discussion on the Advocacia version where Virgin Mary is connected with the process for the human race against the demon. The title varies in tradition, in many manuscripts there is a mention of the work of Mary as a lawyer. The attribution to Guido de Collemedio in the is credible. The actual process is preceded by a small Praefatio in which it is described how Satan tries to prevent the death of Jesus on the cross. The original text of the chapter is in German.
