Chapter Summary

This chapter is a part of the 119 works from the corpus of the Latin dialogues of the Middle Ages presented in this book Lateinische Dialoge 1200 -1400. It presents the title, incipit and explicit as well as information on author, date, textual transmission, editions and a summary of the contents of the dialogue concerning the debates between Simon and Peter about the Christian faith. This a Codex unicus manuscript and the author mentions his name as Peter, who held his office prior to Sancta Trinitas. The situation described and the agreed rules of conversation mention Peter, strongly reminiscent of the preface of Disputatio Judaei Christiani et Gilbert Crispin. The original text of the chapter is in German.
