Chapter Summary

The moot court competition , established to advance and promote human rights legal education around the world,which is based on the Inter-American System for the Protection of Human Rights and the legal obligations contemplated in the American Convention on Human Rights and the American Declaration on the Rights and Duties of Man. The legal issues presented in the case should include: a) an analysis of the preliminary admissibility issues and b) an analysis of the issues of law according to the American Convention on Human Rights and other applicable international instruments cited in the Problem. All Participating Team Members, Coaches, Observers and Judges will receive a Certificate of Participation. The Technical Committee will interpret the Official Rules and will settle any questions and complaints that arise in the Competition.
