Chapter Summary

This bibliography contains a list of reference articles and books that occur in this book titled The Founder of the Hare Krishnas as Seen by Devotees: a cognitive study of religious charisma. The aim of this study is to describe the interactions of Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupāda and his disciples in such a way as to gain insight into the nature of the charismatic representations. The study is based on literature, questionnaires, interviews and personal participation of over two years in the Berkeley and Los Angeles temples. Judah argues that the Hare Kṛṣṇa movement is characterised by a rejection of American secular culture and its established religions and the incorporation of countercultural secular values.
