Chapter Summary

This index section of the book African and European Readers of the Bible in Dialogue: In Quest of a Shared Meaning presents a list of names, terms and concepts that occur in the book. A Conference with participants from Europe and Africa was held in Stellenbosch, South Africa, in January 2006. The objective was to reflect in a dialogic manner on the theme 'exegesis and actualisation'. Although the two continents are close to each other in a geographical sense and have even closer historical ties, such a dialogic conference is not something that would naturally occur without some prompting.

Keywords: actualisation; African readers; dialogue; European readers; exegesis; Stellenbosch conference
