Chapter Summary

This front matter material of the book The Case-Law of the WTO contains the Table of Contents, and the Foreword/Directions for Use, in English and French languages. The authors of the book have adopted a dual approach. A neutral and objective approach that gives as complete an account as possible of the reasoning of the dispute resolution mechanism, including numerous quotes (in italics when they are extracted from the case in question) in order to guarantee as close as possible an account of the decisions themselves, making these books effective working tools. A subjective and critical approach that judges the reasoning adopted and placing it in a perspective of global evolution, either approving or criticizing them. Additionally, the choice of a bilingual approach is intended to provide access to the reflections contained in the book to as wide a public as possible.
