Chapter Summary

This index presents a list of ancient author names that are mentioned in the book titled Religions Challenged by Contingency: Theological and Philosophical Approaches to the Problem of Contingency. The recent growth of religious plurality in the Western world, and especially the rise of non-Christian religions, not only challenges churches and societies, but also pose new and unexpected questions to systematic theology and philosophy of religion. The book on religion and contingency is itself part of a larger research- project, fostered by the Netherlands School for Advanced Studies in Theology and Religion (Noster) and the Catholic University of Leuven, Belgium.

Keywords: contingency; systematic theology
