Chapter Summary

This bibliography contains a list of reference articles and books that are mentioned in the book Sixteenth-Century Scotland: Essays in Honour of Michael Lynch. The book is designed to open new windows onto the study of sixteenth-century Scotland. Michael Lynch grew up in the north-east of Scotland. He attended Aberdeen Grammar School, of which he has affectionate memories; he long stayed in touch with his history teacher, Arthur McCombie. Michael has always been convinced of the desirability of viewing the history of Scotland within and against the larger European context.
