Chapter Summary

This front matter section of this book tilted Israel's restoration : a textual-comparative exploration of Ezekiel 36-39 contains foreword, acknowledgments and abbreviations. In exploring early Jewish interpretation of the restoration of Israel in Ezekiel 36-39, we seek to provide possible interpretative reasons for variants in our representative manuscripts. In seeking insights as to how early Jewish communities interpreted the restoration of Israel in Ezekiel 36-39, our major resources are the three oldest extant Hebrew Masoretic texts, plus the MasEzek fragment, along with the three earliest Greek texts of Ezekiel.

Keywords: Ezekiel; Hebrew Masoretic texts; Israel's restoration; Jewish communities
