Chapter Summary

This appendix presents a step by step description of the feud between Conrad Bröske and Johann Conrad Dippel. A key source for reconstructing the flow of events is Bröske's Augen-Salbe, published in late 1700, where he reflected upon the causes of the debate and his efforts to resolve it. Dippel's writings in 1700-1701 are also helpful in reconstructing the sequence because the titles invariably include a reference to the writing that they address.

Keywords: Augen-Salbe; Conrad Bröske; Johann Conrad Dippel
