Chapter Summary

This is the conclusory chapter of the book, which presents the truthfulness and authenticity of the qurʼanic text than with the beauty and stylistic finesse of its expressions. The Book (Allah's book) is the indirect speech of God. The notion of religion proposed in the book is based on the conviction that the worship of God has its secret seat in the freedom that human beings enjoy. The Book contains between its two covers' Muḥammad’s (ṣ) prophethood and Muḥammad’s (ṣ) messengerhood, designating the two different roles of either prophet or messenger. It is made clear in all chapters of the book that we regard the whole literature of Islamic fiqh as a first reading or first understanding of the divine text and its sacred injunctions.
