Chapter Summary

This chapter presents English translations of Arabic texts dealing with several instances of usage of animal parts for treatment of medical disorders, and for improving health. The disorders include the treatment of chronic ulcers on the scalp and balding, preventing coldness of the stomach and improving food digestion, treating gout and sciatica, and removing coldness from the joints and also treatment of urinating blood. In each instance, a description of the preparation of the medicine is also provided.
