Chapter Summary

This chapter presents a case between the Prosecutor and Zoran Kuprekic, Mirjan Kuprekic, Vlatko Kuprekic, Drago Josipovic, Dragan Papic, and Vladimir antic in the Appeals Chamber. The case was for a decision on appeal by Dragan Papic against ruling to proceed by deposition. It was an appeal against an oral ruling of Trial Chamber II of 24 February 1999. The Trial Chamber is not satisfied that the accused would not try to interfere with the witnesses and victims, and that they would appear for the delivery of the judgement. Notwithstanding the above-mentioned assurances, the Trial Chamber deems the danger of the accused absconding now, shortly before the judgement, too high to allow their provisional release. The Motion is therefore denied.
