Chapter Summary

This chapter begins with a discussion on a letter written by Abgar the ruler to Jesus the Saviour and sent to Jerusalem with Ananias the messenger. In his letter, Abgar requested Jesus to come to him and heal him from his lengthy illnesses. Abgar sent his letter to Jesus via his messenger, Ananias. Jesus wrote a letter to Abgar. In this letter, Jesus highlighted that wherever this letter is read, whether in private or in public for those in heat or those in cold, for those who have been bewitched or poisoned, or in other similar cases, they will be delivered. Jesus further implied that whoever carries this letter should be holy and free from all evil, and should read it for healing and firm joy.
