Chapter Summary

This chapter presents a letter from Abgar to Jesus Christ. In this letter, Abgar expresses to Jesus that he has heard about his cures, and also about how Jesus heals people without medicine or herbs. Jesus healed a woman with a blood flow and raised the son of the mourning widow from the dead. Abgar requests Jesus to come to him, heal him and bless him with eternal life and peace. The Lord received the letter and wrote back to Abgar. Jesus, in his letter, expresses that he will not be able to come in person as he has many unfulfilled duties. Instead, he tells Abgar that he will send one of his disciples called Thaddaeus, who will cure him and give him eternal life and peace.
