Chapter Summary

This front matter section contains the preface of the book Vertheidigung der natürlichen, christlichen, und katholischen Religion. Nach den Bedürfnissen unsrer Zeiten. The book talks about various belief systems of the present Christians. The truth and divinity of the Christian religion has been proven in the zweyten parts. The greatest part of Christians cannot read the original texts, but must make do with translations that have been made by fallible human beings, and often also distorted deliberately, such as the Bahrdtische translation. The Protestants are to be regarded as a true sacrifice. The purpose of the whole Christian revelation was to show us how we can be saved through a living faith in Christ, and the fulfillment of the law of love.
