This section contains biographical notes of Qajar kings: Muzaffar ad-Din Shah; Muhammad-'Ali Shah; and Ahmad Shah. It then presents short biographies of some personalities such as Amir Afshar, Amir Muqtadir, Amir Nusrat, Arfa ad Dawla, Armitage-Smith, Ayn ad-Dawla, Ayn al-Mulk, Baskerville and Baxter and Gertrude Bell. Amir Afshar is the tribal chieftain of the Shāhsavan. Amir Nusrat is described as a ferocious Shahsavan chieftain who fought actively against the Constitutionalists.
