Chapter Summary

This chapter deals with a Christian theology of the Trinity in view of a Jewish-Christian relation and interreligious discourse of the Trinity. For this task, it attempts to interpret Trinitarian theology in light of God's speech act in view of Jewish- Christian thinking and a philosophical Daoist concept of Daodejing. For the procedure of the argument, the chapter discusses the Trinitarian theology in reference to the Buddhist model of the Trinity (Masao Abe) and a yin and yang model of the Trinity (Joung Yung Lee). With a critical view toward some limitations of the interfaith discourse on the Trinity, it proposes a dialogue with philosophical Daoism as stated in Daodejing, and Jewish wisdom of Kabbalah for the reconstruction of an irregular theology of the Trinity.
