The book is intended to provide a detailed analysis of systems that have been established to provide reparations to victims of genocide, crimes against humanity and war crimes. It draws upon a Conference organised by the Clemens Nathan Research Centre (CNRC) and REDRESS, which took place at the Peace Palace in The Hague, The Netherlands on 1-2 March 2007. The book explores the practice of governments, national and international courts and commissions in applying, processing, implementing and enforcing a variety of reparations awards.
