Chapter Summary

Religion and Rhetoric share "communication" as a sort of basic common ground - although their form and aim may differ decisively. There are many modes of religious communication (insofar as it is considered rhetorical communication), namely : from God to man, from man to God, and from man to man. In the title of this chapter the author employed a formula used upside down : fall and rise.
