Chapter Summary

This chapter talks about Augustin Christian of Rome. It refers to the research done by the author in the last fifteen years after he released his previous book. He summarizes the contents of the 1978 study and recalls the date, place and circumstances of the editorial catholicae from moribus Ecclesiae (From the first moribus). The chapter also presents a brief sketch of the Treaty which will fit examining individual topics. Finally, it presents some modest conclusions. It also makes some observations on the future research that would contribute to our understanding of the Treaty and the young Augustine. The original text of this chapter is in German.
