This illustration section of this book titled Arabian Seas 1700-1763 presents a map of Cranganur and the VOC conquest Papanati in 1697, Khism, Larak and Ormuz islands and the fortress of Gamrun, Purakkad region and the images of kings and gangsters such as Aurangzeb, Peshva Balaji Rao and Tahmasp Quli Khan, Nadir Shah. A stylicized representation of French merchants engaged in bartering textiles for silk with Armenian and Turkish merchants in Izmir around 1780. The chapter depicts the image of New Julfa cathedral in Isfahan in seventeenth century and an image of late eighteenth century haveli- Shekavati in Rajasthan.
