This section of the book titled The Nation in the Global Era: Conflict and Transformation contains a list of contributors. The Global Studies Association of North America (GSA) was established in 2001, alongside its sister organization in the United Kingdom. Each year the GSA brings together scholars and activists from the United States, Canada, and Mexico to discuss and debate the many diverse aspects of globalization. Some of the major topics explored in the book are the relationship between class and state under the impact of globalization; how states and nations in the South are affected by globalization; and the development of national identity within the context of global relationships.
