Chapter Summary

The most informative accounts of the first epidemic are provided by the New Annal and the Lawmans Annal. The most informative account of the later plague of 14945 is found in the Bishops’ Annals of Jón Egilsson, translated in the somewhat compressed version of the Fitjaannáll. It should be noted that the Skarðsárannáll also contains some interesting information.
