Chapter Summary

This front matter section of this book titled Catholic Theology of Revelation on the Eve of Vatican II contains the table of contents, a list of abbreviations and the acknowledgements. The primary research goal of the book is to distinguish the problems associated with the current historiographical appreciation of the schema De fontibus, a text prepared in Rome in the period 19601962 that was among the first to be discussed during the Second Vatican Council (19621965), and attempt to somewhat revise this appreciation. A brief sketch of the general historiographical tenor surrounding the schema should serve to illustrate the decision in this regard.
