Chapter Summary

This index section presents the list of terms and concepts of the Paraphrase of Shem. The Paraphrase of Shem is the first of those contained in Codex VII, one of thirteen codices that made up the Coptic library discovered near Nag Hammadi in Upper Egypt. The English translation of Roberge's book which is presented here addresses a larger audience than that of the French version. In order to facilitate the reading of the English translation of the Coptic text, the author has divided the text into sections and added notes that incorporate the results of his most recent research.
