Chapter Summary

This appendix section presents figures (in pounds) of Wulong tea exports from Xiamen in the year 1928-1960. There was a thriving trade in wulong tea between Singapore and Fujian. Unlike the Indian and British merchants who imported teas from India and Ceylon, the Fujian-Singapore trade was distinctly Chinese. The tea leaves came from either the Wuyi Mountains or Anxi County in Fujian Province.
