Chapter Summary

The collection of lexicographical notes is contemporaneous with the Revised Supplement to the Ninth Edition of LSJ (Oxford 1996), and linked to it in that C. as a member of the supervising committee contributed a number of suggestions for the revision. Rare and ghost words are particularly well handled. Treatments of common words persuasively include a new etymology for t as akin to our whereabouts.
