Chapter Summary

This section of the book Berakhyah Ben Natronai ha-Nakdan, Sefer koʾaḥ ha-Avanim contains Hebrew - French/Latin/Greek Glossary. The version which Berakhyah consulted more than any other for the composition of his stonebook is the Cambridge Version of Marbode which was made directly from the Latin text and is not dependent, like the other Anglo-Norman versions, on the First French Version. The Cambridge Version was Berakhyah's main source for at least 43 of the 72 stones featuring in his lapidary.
